Who we are

bitcoinexchange.no ("we", "the site") is a free website that shows cryptocurrency prices and simple calculators. Contact: contact@bitcoinexchange.no.

What we collect

We do not require accounts and we do not ask you to enter personal information. The calculators run in your browser, and the numbers you type into them are not sent to us or stored. The portfolio tracker saves your holdings only in your own browser's local storage, on your device; we never receive them, and you can clear them at any time.

Like most web servers, our hosting provider automatically records technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit. This is used for security, troubleshooting and keeping the site running.

Cookies and advertising

We do not set cookies and do not use analytics or advertising trackers. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

Third-party services

• Google Fonts loads the site's font, so your IP address is sent to Google when the page loads.
• CoinGecko supplies market data. Our server requests it, but coin logos are loaded directly from CoinGecko's image servers.

Legal basis and retention

We process technical data based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Server logs are kept only as long as our hosting provider retains them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Norwegian Personal Data Act you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and object to processing. Contact us at the address above. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.no.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
